Dear Robert,

Yes, the above picture is a total crap shoot.  It is the webcam shot from the top of the Gondola Tower in Banff available at the moment this was sent.   Click here..."LIVE WEBCAM" for the view available right now.   Sometimes it is great, sometimes it is not so great.  Come back and view it in the early morning or late afternoon with the sun rising or setting and the odds are good that it will knock your socks off.   "Ride the Divide" is set for the week of August 11, 2007, there are 6 spots left.

A BIG thanks to all the "Spandex with Purpose" contributors.  You are Superheros in my book!   You contributed more than $1400 in a two week period.  Thank you for your generosity!

B2B PictureOur SE Asian B2B Option

For those with enough time, there is a unique opportunity to combine Far and Away's 2007 Vietnam and Laos tours.  These two tours are intentionally scheduled back to back so you can  take a direct flight from Hanoi, where the Vietnam tour ends, to Vientiane, where the Lao Tour begins.  Combining "The Tonkinese Alps" with the "Journey Back in Time" will give you both of SE Asia's most intriquing destinations at a very reasonable all in price.

Look Ahead and Beat the 2008 Price Increase!

Unfortunately, with the US dollar is in the tank and local costs rising a significant price increase in 2008 is inevitable.  As of this moment, a roughly 20% price increase is planned for our 2008 European tours.

There is a way to beat it though.  Book a Fall 2007 tour.   We only change prices once a year on January 1, so any tour you book for this Fall will be a bargain with the benefit of hindsight.

Iberia Plane pic Still a Great Iberia Price - $763 RT from DC to Malaga!
If you live in or around Washington DC, Boston, Chicago or certain other large cities you can still snag bargain flights to Spain!  DC is only $763. Boston is $810. Chicago is $910.  Iberia has just introduced new flights to Madrid (from where it is only a short hop to Malaga where we begin and end our tour).  This is a huge bargain and won't last since these are "leisure fares" with limited seats.  From DC you have to book the flight out a day early on 9/6/07 since there are no flights on 9/7.  Fly out 9/7/07 or before and fly back 9/16/07 or after.  The tour starts and ends in Malaga which is airport code "AGP".

Iberia also allows bikes as part of your baggage allowance.

All the best,

Robert Thompson
