F&A World Traveler's Club

If this Club didn't grow, we'd  be out of business fast.  These are people that have done multiple F&A tours.  In some cases, people have done the same tour twice....make that three times.....

Dear Robert,

Ever think about what it might be like to drive the support van on a tour?   It's a pretty good gig actually.

There is the constant stream of very thankful riders.

You occasionally give or receive a "Corsican Kiss" (a gratuitous adjustment of someone's sideview mirror with your own).

You have the time to help that nice Croatian couple with the blown transmission that needs a push start every 20k.

And what about being a hero when you discovered the rider who managed to lock themselves into the back of the windowless cargo van one evening?

Yep, all in all, it's good....

...until that horse pictured above decides to drive!

Giddie up!

Horse head

Actually, no horsing around, the van driver has as much fun (or more) than the riders.

All the best,

Lao Jersey to Benefit Ban Van Tang Childrens' Fund

Ban Van Thang SchoolWant to have a jersey few people are likely to ever have or be able to get and support a great cause at the same time?   Order our Lao Jersey and Far and Away will contribute 50% of the price to the Ban Van Tang Childrens' Fund  (BVTCF).  The goal of the BVTCF is to raise money to build a school in Van Tang Village.

The project is the brainchild of Howard "Big Ring" Stauffer, who, while on one of our tours, decided to enlist his Rotary Club to help raise money for a new school for Ban Van Tang.   The picture is of the school as of this week.   The total cost is $10,000 about 2/3 of which is still needed.  I hope to raise at leat $1000 with the jersey.

The price of the Jersey is $60 (plus a S&H charge).  It has to be ordered and paid for in advance (you can do this at the F&A store) prior to November 10, 2007.  Delivery will be at the end of December, 2007 or early January, 2008.

If your company or organization is willing to help sponsor this project with a donation, please contact me.  I will put your logo/name on the jersey.

There are women's and men's sizes and a sleeveless option.  This jersey is cut "club fit".  That means if you happen to draft behind me, you won't feel like you are riding behind an overstuffed sausage.
