Dear Robert,
We had a blast on the Fall tours in Europe.
In Slovenia, we had the opportunity to make some impromptu forays into Italy. That was great. Some of that will be included as an option on future tours.
In Spain, there was a blow out feria in Ubrique. Spaniards do know how to party. The bike riding in Spain was no impediment to some serious boogying on the dance floor by some members of our group.
The "Beast", in Corsica, lived up to its name for more reasons than one. A couple of days of cold and rainy weather added to the challenge. However, nothing could slow down this intrepid group. Question: "Do you need anything"? Answer: "Nah, I'm good!". We hardly needed a support van for this one....."Giddie Up" indeed!
It's on to Viet Nam and Laos shortly. It will be the first organized trip to Vietnam. That makes it special. For Laos, we are going to do a "one-off tour", meaning we are going places we have never been before and with more options.
In this business, the line between work and play gets thinner all the time.
All the best,

The F&A Blog is Back!
We had to temporarily suspend the old blog and guestbook due to spamsters inundating it with male enhancement products, mortgage offers and other useless stuff.
The new one has better controls. It still is easy to use though. Register and you can make a post or upload pics....or simply post a comment with a couple clicks.
Sign up using the RSS Feed for a running account of the Vietnam and Laos adventures.

"Chez Freddy"...My Nite in His Trailer
I had some free time between tours and so rode my bike in Corsica from Bastia to Bonifacio with a single pannier on my bike. It's 90 miles or so. The road, N198, is busy and there is no shoulder in places, but it is relatively flat so I could make good time. I had not started early....maybe 10:30am. Towards the end, even though it was getting to be late I pushed on as I wanted to take the ferry early the next morning from Bonifacio to Sardinia.
My ass was sore and I was tired as I neared Bonifacio. There is one pretty good climb (or so it seemed) before the descent into Bonifacio. I stopped by the tourist office which was still open and inquired about the ferry schedule and rooms: "there are no rooms", I was told. Huh? It's a big town. There have to be rooms.
Undaunted......

Annual Meeting Season is Coming!
Might your group have an interest in learning more about fascinating places to bike, seeing great pics and hearing a few crazy stories to go along with the pizza and beer at your club meeting?
If so, give me a shout. I have wheels, a cool projector, a beautiful partner and some good stories....not to mention a few freebies. All you need is a wall, electricity...and, oh yeah, some extra pizza and beer.
