Back to Back Tours

Anyone for a "Tri-fecta"?
Brian

Since some Far and Away tours are scheduled back to back, it is possible to put together multi-week, multi-country cycling adventures without too much difficulty. Brian Towns is one of those that did recently with a Corsica-Slovenia double. As Brian explained "Why not?, I'm in Europe, I see a lot more and it saves the expense of a return flight".

Tour News

Rudi to the Rescue in Slovenia
Rudi in Slovenia

It was rainy and cold. It happens. Then we happened upon Rudi's quaint brick and stone roadside Tavern, but it was closed and under construction. Suddenly, Rudi appears out of nowhere and announces "You need medical attention!" with a heavy accent and invites us in to snuggle up to his cosy wood burning stove. He then brews coffee and tea, produces shots of some potent Slovenian firewater and tasty cake. VERY nice! Thanks Rudi! You were great and we loved it.

Beauty and now "Le Beast"

Ready or not!
Corsica

Debi Fredrickson and Kathy Momot contemplate the terrain on this Spring's "Beauty" tour. There was plenty of Beauty on the tour and maybe a taste of Beast too. There is a good reason that the Lonely Planet advises cycling in Corsica can be a "trying experience".

The Lonely Planet also describes Col de la Croix to Porto as "among the most spectacular views on the planet".

The Planet got it right on both counts.

Few spots remain for Laos

Rated the #1 tour destination in the world
Laos Kasi

It's mystical and mysterious and something that you will probably never forget. The "Land of a Million Elephants" beckons to those adventurers who march to the beat of a different drummer. This 17 nite tour starts and ends in Bangkok and includes 12 days of biking in Northwest Laos over 500 miles. There are only a few spots left for this year's tour which begins November 19th in Bangkok. Laos is still an inexpensive country and the tour price is $1095
