Here are those now signed up for 2006 tours:

Spain - May 6, 2006

How's your Lao?

Alright, I admit I don't understand all of this interview, but IT WAS FUN TO DO IT! You can catch a few snippets of me talking and I was very, very happy to be able to talk about the Lao people and what a great place it is to visit. Whether you are on a bike or not, go before it changes too much. Thanks Dara! for doing this.

All about Andalucia

The internet is a great place to do some research on destinations. The Far and Away tour in Spain loops through "The White Villages". Here are some links that will give you a sense of this area:

It's not About the Bike

by Mike Braden

[Editor's note: Mike toured an additional 6 weeks in Laos, Thailand and Vietnam after the December Far and Away Laos Tour ended in mid December.]

I finished my trip.....got back on Jan 27.....ended up doing
4,400km.

The following is a little sample of my trip.....

It is about THIS Bike

by Jeff Campbell

[Editor's note: Jeff came to Laos planning to rent a bike, but he liked the deals in Bangkok so much that he bought one on the spot. It seemed like a good idea at the time. However, the shock on the fork stopped working on Day 2!]

Copacabana Beach?  The DomRep?  Sure you guys wouldn't prefer the +/- 3C rain/fog of Brussels?  No riding stories from here as I've yet to find my groove again and lately I never know when the roads here are frozen or not.  Will get out soon enough I imagine and have plotted with a few friends from here to get down and do Mont Ventoux (Provence) in May.  But I'll share with you my "Bike Repair" story and see if you can spot the differences from Mike's (!).  Keep in mind:  no ladies, no escorts, no coffee!......

WABA Auction

The Washington (DC) Area Bicyclist Association's annual fund raising auction is scheduled for February 11, 2006 at the Embasssy of Finland. It's a good cause and a chance to bid on some good stuff (sky diving!), meet other cyclists and swap stories. Far and Away has contributed a Supergo Travel Bike Case AND a $200 off voucher applicable to any 2006 Tour. You do have to go to the event to bid, but all the stuff being auctioned off can be viewed in advance here.

Live Q&A Now Available

Have a question? Any Question. Maybe you can't sleep and are surfing at 3am? Try the Far and Away real time answer line. It's on the FAQ page. All you have to do is click on this pic. You may not get anyone, but it's worth a shot for fast answers. You can also just say 'hi'. If no one is available, leave a message. It might also occasionally show up while you are on the F & A site, which means I'm on-line and would like to talk to YOU! You can accept or decline.

Take a Virtual Trip

The weather is lousy and most people are dreaming of vacations in interesting places. Not everyone can take an overseas tour, but everyone can take the virtual trip. If your group is interested in taking big screen test drive, please send an email inquiry. There is no better way to find out what the tours are like. Bring some popcorn!

All the best,
