The Wobbling Sprocket

Indochine Feb 25

The ride to Na Ngum lake is 112k.  However there is a boating option which turns it into 30k plus a 2 hour boat ride.  The group split up again.  Paolo, Fede, Chantal and Robin all rode bikes the whole way.  Everyone else took the boat….including me.  I had never done it before so was curious as to how it was.  It’s fine….if a little bit noisy.  It gave us lot’s of free time in Na Ngum to relax.  I rode my bike out the other direction to make sure people found the place.  It’s not all that easy to find.

That night we had the usual blow out final dinner at the floating restaurant with the dancing waitresses.  No pics on that.  I was too busy shaking a leg…or hand or whatever you do for Lao dancing.  Sometimes….what happens on a tour should stay on a tour.  You will have to come to find out…..

Best,

Bob

No mistaking the town where you catch the boat to Nam Ngum. You can smell the fish drying from a mile away.
