When it comes to Corsica, there is a lot more to recommend it than just the biking. The cycling is spectacular. The roads are good, the population is small (260,000 or so) and the scenery is to die for. But on top of that, there is great food and drink. One of the drinks is Pietra. It’s not the only local brew, but it is the best known. We are very big fans.
You can click on the link below to understand why. We are VERY anxious to get back to Corsica. It IS one of our favorite places.
If the Criterium International race ends up in Corsica or the start of the Tour d’ France (as has been reported), there will be quite a few Pietra’s raised into the air!
