My Mom extremely ill and I am headed home asap.
From Huaxay, Laos, I hope to be back at 2:30 the next morning. That could be a world's record

Graeme will lead this tour. He has done it a half dozen times . he and the very capable Doalit will take over.
Hopefully he can post something from somewhere, but he does not have a computer so they could be few and far between.
Mr Graeme is featured in Chaing Khong Advertising!

Question: How can you tell that you have been to Chaing Khong plenty of times?
Answer: When your image is featured on the advertisements of the local massage/shampoo parlor.
We were sitting at this place near Ms. Sopaphan's resort having a beer and the waitress all of a sudden points at the banner ad outside and then at Graeme. We looked and both said no, can't be. Then I looked closer and noticed the Far and Away embroidered shirt. Yep, it's Mr Graeme getting a facial massage or shampoo or whatever.

Laos – Start of a New Adventure

Chian's is a funky eclectic place…a good spot to start the tour.
Here is our group photo the morning of the first ride:

We had to work a little to fit all these bikes in.

Dominque and I were the only ones to stop by this temple. There was a Black Buddha inside. Unusual to say the least.

Buddhas ringed the entire temple.

The whole thing overlooks the Mekong in dramatic fashion.

This was our lunch stop on the way to Chaing Khong.

It's actually not hard to take. They grow their own stuff here. I noticed that as soon as we ordered a young girl ran out to collect some onions and lemon grass.
