Sikkim Cycling Jersey

There is no rhyme or reason as to which destinations we choose to tackle next as far as our bike jerseys go. I thought the next would be Corsica. The Corsica Moor’s head would be easy enough to do and there aren’t any nice Corsica jerseys around. However, by special request, I’m working on Sikkim. Few people have even heard of Sikkim, much less considered acquiring a Sikkim themed cycling jersey (let’s hope some folks consider biking there since I just set up a tour!). Anyway, the designs usually change (often more than once) before they are finalized, but this is the latest and greatest for Sikkim:

Don’t hold back on giving your two cents and don’t hold your breath on what they final turns out to be. I have been told before that it’s a “do-over”.
Unique call gives away new bird species in Laos and Vietnam

First, there was the rodent discovered in Laos thought extinct for 10 million years. Now there’s a new species of bird found dwelling in the craggy karst cliffs. Who knows what will be found next? We call it a journey back in time because of the way people live….doing the same things they have for a long time: spinning cotton, grinding corn, weaving on hand looms, fermenting whiskey in jugs.
Obviously though, it’s a journey back in time for wildlife as well. Unexpected things keep popping up. Here is the latest…the limestone leaf warbler:

Geeze. This makes it Australia – 3 and The Rest of the World -0. Willie has been to Vietnam, Laos and India so she knows exactly what she is getting into. Willie toured in the USA this past summer with an Aussie Gospel singing group. If we need some inspiration on this tour, I know where to turn.
